We have used Carvins Cove Bed and Biscuit for many years. Was a little worried when new owners took over, but they picked right up where the previous owner left off. Always very responsive and courteous to your needs. The place is always very clean and the pictures on their website accurately display their facility. Our dog is always in protection mode when with us, but when at the kennel he LOVES to socialize and play. Is always worn out by the end of this stay. Highly recommend this kennel!

Our 2-year old bluetick coonhound is always excited to be dropped off at Carvin's Cove Bed and Biscuit. The facility is very modern and always impeccably clean. We also love that it's just a short drive outside Roanoke VA, tucked away in the serene Blue Ridge Mountains. The staff are incredible - very knowledgeable, great listeners and always friendly. Also, while we have only had to board our dog at Bed and Biscuit several times so far, each time has been consistently amazing. We always appreciate them remembering our pet's each time we return. Bed and Biscuit without a doubt has our family's vote of confidence with caring for our dog. With all the personalized care they provide, we would be willing to pay twice the amount they ask for!

"We have an older dog, and feel that he gets the best of care here.  The owners have let me bring in a rubber mat so my dog can get up easier.  Walt seems to look forward to going to the kennel. I feel like he gets the care there that he gets at home. Carvins Cove is a beautiful facility, and with the owners living nearby, it makes me feel at ease when we leave our dog. The staff is very caring and will go out of their way to make your dog feel at home."

"Carvin's Cove provided a quick response to our reservation request via e-mail and phone, and worked with our vet to get the necessary vaccination records.  Staff was kind and professional when we dropped our dog off, and the facility was clean and well set up for boarding.  We were able to get on a plane later in the day will little to no apprehension about leaving Scotty with Carvin's Cove, even though this was his first experience with boarding.  When we returned to pick Scotty up the staff was again courteous and professional, and Scotty showed no signs of anxiety or stress, though when we got home he did take a good long nap (Carvin's Cove assigned him some similar energy play buddies while he was there).
We will use Carvin's Cove for all of our future boarding needs."

"Excellent!  We were concerned having just moved to the area about our dog being comfortable and well cared for in a boarding situation.  We knew right from the onset that he would be OK given the friendly and loving nature of the owners, as well as the overall set-up. In a beautiful location with plenty of room for the animals to run and interact.  When we came to get him, he was clean and happy!  I would definitely refer anyone to use these services."

"This is the second time we have left our Dog Caymen at Carvin's Cove Bed and Biscuit. Tracee and Kevin are very accommodating, and allowed me to bring Caymen early that morning. We were gone for 5 nights, and they kindly met my daughter with the dog at a nearby store, because they were pulling a 30 ft travel trailer. They are wonderful, and it is obvious that they love what they do, and have a true passion for the animals they care for. I can't think of anywhere, or anyone I would feel more comfortable with, leaving Caymen....and we'll be back!"

"We were going on vacation and the person we normally left our dog with had to shut down due to a family emergency. I checked Angie's List and found Carvins Cove Bed and Biscuit highly rated. I was nervous about someone new, but was headed out-of-town in a few days. I called Tracee McMahon at CCB&B. She was so very nice and reassuring. She asked me all the usual questions. She then personally called my vet and found out my dog needed more shots before coming and scheduled me for their last available appointment before my trip! Wow, what service! Being a relatively new dog owner, I didn't realize that certain shots had to be updated. Anyway, it was a comfort to know that she cared enough to help me through the whole process. She gave me her cell to text her if I felt concerned. I did text her one time. She responded the same day with the fact that my dog was enjoying his new friends and loved playing in the snow. I didn't have to text again because I knew our "baby" was in good hands. The whole kennel area looked clean and modern. The staff looked sharp with a genuine love of dogs. Our dog returned to us happy and healthy. I will definitely make this our new boarding facility."

"My wife and I were skeptical about boarding our dogs. We adopted our oldest, a six-year old jack russell, from a shelter and did not think she would do well with any kind of a boarding environment since she hadn't been away from us in the four years that we've had her. However, family and friends all gave Carvins Cove B&B great reviews, so we gave it a try while we were out of town for around four days. Everyone was great to deal with. We were shown around the property and given plenty of opportunity to help them understand what our critters are used to in terms of feedings, treats, and exercise. We were also able to check up on them regularly. By the time we arrived for pickup, we were greeted by two extremely happy dogs. Even better, they were absolutely exhausted when we got them home which means they had plenty of time to play and socialize with other dogs. You can tell that the family running this property has a genuine affinity for dogs, and that makes all the difference in the world. We will happily trust them to watch our critters the next time we need to travel someplace where we cannot take them along."

"Our VERY shy rescue dog tells us that she is consistently treated kindly at Carvin's Cove Bed and Biscuit. She does NOT like many people due, we think, to her life before being rescued. Her trust and affection is not easily won....it takes gentleness, play, a kind word and time. Tracy, Kevin and their staff must put those ingredients in during our dog's visits because now, rather than making us feel guilty for leaving (ala pouty looks and dejected stance), our dog marches into the office with tail a-wagging. She licks the owners and prances to the kennels with them. She then meets us with the same happy attitude when we pick her up. -prices are reasonable -scheduling is important; make sure to call for drop and pick-up times -the owners and staff are very easy to talk with -WELL-worth the drive to Carvin's Cove."
